Dana White: Another Ronda Rousey on The Ultimate Fighter
- Updated: September 3, 2014
While the debut of the new season of “The Ultimate Fighter” is still a week away, UFC President Dana White thinks we are in for some interesting fights. White went so far as to say that we could be in for a new Ronda Rousey this season, the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion (10-0). The Ultimate Fighter 20 is set to debut on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 10 p.m. ET.
The season will feature UFC lightweight champ Anthony Pettis and former Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez as coaches and will crown the first ever UFC women’s strawweight champion.
“Wait till you guys see this season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter.’ It’s so good,” White said. “There’s a Ronda Rousey on this season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter,’ absolutely.”
Never one to shy away from hyperbolic comments will have to wait and see what it sounds like something that’s must-see TV.
Rousey Has been in the news lately as a target for Bethe “Pitbull” Correia’s (9-0) bout.
“My message to Ronda: If there’s someone who will retire without any losses in the UFC, it’s going to be me,” said Correia, “I’m going to retire with the belt, not her.”
That fight would definitely be must-see TV.
